Engineers produce Producer Statement documents to confirm their professional opinion that aspects of a building’s design comply with the Building Code, or that elements of construction have been completed in accordance with the approved building consent.
There are three Producer Statements – PS1, PS2 and PS4 – used to provide verification at different stages in the design/construction process. You can download and use all the Producer Statements. However, they are subject to copyright and must not be altered.
IPENZ no longer maintains Producer Statement PS3. Members of the construction community should use the sixth Schedule of NZS 3910 "Conditions of contract for building and civil engineering construction" when a Producer Statement typically referred to as a PS3 is required.
