Waikato/BoP Branch – nominations open for the annual presentation competition

Nominations are now open for the annual presentation competition. Young engineers, have you got what it takes? Take up the challenge and tell the Branch about the engineering work that excites you.

Senior engineers, managers, mentors, encourage younger engineers to take part. This is ideal training and very good experience in preparing and giving a presentation to a friendly and supportive audience.

Eligibility

Engineers under 35 years of age or within eight years of graduation.

Nomination and presentation process

Three finalists will be selected from nominations received. Presentations are to last for 10 minutes, on any engineering topic that involved the presenter. Five further minutes will be allowed for questions from the audience.

Presentation on the night will be judged by a suitable panel and cash prizes awarded.

Prizes up for grabs

  • $300 for first place
  • $200 for second place
  • $100 for third place
