Technology Challenging Society: Appetite for Change
This public panel discussed how we grow, produce, cook and eat food. It also looked at how food is influenced and changing due to technology. The panel consisted of celebrated New Zealand chef Martin Bosley, food engineer and technologist Torben Sorenson, food blogger Laura Vincent and University of Waikato’s Professor of Agribusiness Jacqueline Rowarth. Topics included the rise of food television, ethics, sustainability, and accountability (where the food comes from, what’s in it and how it was grown).
