The Retention and Renewal of Women in Engineering
New Zealand needs more engineers. The profession is missing out on a significant portion of the best and the brightest because engineering workplaces are not diverse. In this foundation document, published in 2011, we set out our vision for women in engineering. We outlined where change is needed and discussed the barriers to more women joining the profession. We summarised what we thought needed to happen to encourage women to join, remain and advance in the engineering profession.
