Recently, structural engineering practice has come under scrutiny inside and outside the engineering profession. Practices have needed to adapt, due to factors including greater reliance on technology for design, new construction technologies and a generally more litigious society. This guidance defines the fundamentals of acceptable office practice for structural engineering design, to improve the overall quality of structural design services.
