2013 NZEE Awards Highlights

The best engineering work of 2013 was ​celebrated at the New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards, a black-tie event held at Te Papa in Wellington. Recognising the supreme work and engineers in the profession, Awards presented included those recognising post-Canterbury earthquake projects, power solutions and forensic crime scene investigations. A world-leading digital microscope and software system that takes the drudgery out of classifying palynology samples also received an award. The “Classifynder” has wider applications as diverse as classifying bacteria and detecting honey fraud.
